Reiterating that Pakistan was ready to host the ICC Champions Trophy, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Naqvi said on Saturday that foolproof security would be provided to the teams participating in the tournament, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to England and Wales Cricket Board Chairman Richard Thomson, Naqvi said that the teams would be given the protocol of a state guest. “We are upgrading stadiums before the start of the event,” he informed.
Thomson, on the occasion, expressed his best wishes for Naqvi and the PCB chairman. “England’s recent tour to Pakistan was quite successful,” he said.
He, on the occasion, on behalf of his Board also expressed his gratitude to the PCB chairman for the hospitality shown to the English team during its stay in Pakistan.
