The parliament at a joint sitting on Wednesday passed all the crucial Financial Action Task Force (FATF) related bills amid opposition’s strong protest and walkout.

Interestingly, some of the parliamentarians did not attend the session due to their personal engagements. JUI-F Senator Talha Mahmood skipped the important session as he was busy meeting Ertugrul actor Cavit Çetin Güner in Islamabad.

Turkish actor Cavit Çetin Güner, who plays the role of Dogan Alp in historical drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul, arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday morning. However, his pictures have gone viral on social media platforms in which the actor could be seen riding a horse as he visits Blue World City in Islamabad.

Another JUI-F leader Maulana Attaur Rehman also did not attend the session as he was in Chitral to oversee arrangements of party gathering to be held tomorrow. JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman reached Chitral to attend the public gathering.

Talha Mahmood is a member of the Senate of Pakistan from Hazara Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He graduated from Punjab University in 1984. He was elected to the Senate 2006 and reelected in 2012. In March 2018, he was reelected to Senate of Pakistan and will remain member of the upper house until March 2024. He is currently Deputy Parliamentary Leader of JUI-F (Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam Fazal Ur Rehman Group) and also leads the Senate Standing Committee for Narcotics Control and Interior.
