In response to the recent disappointing performance of the national cricket team, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to restrict national cricketers to participate in only one league apart from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in the future, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, this restriction has been incorporated into the central contracts of national cricketers. The prime objective behind this move is to save the national players from being injured.

The PCB Management Committee Chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf has convened a high-profile committee meeting to delve into the factors contributing to Pakistan's recent defeats in the Asia Cup, where the national team suffered losses to Sri Lanka and India simultaneously.

The meeting will be attended by key figures in Pakistan's cricket administration, including Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and the head of the cricket technical committee, Misbah-ul-Haq. Noted cricketer Mohammad Hafeez, a member of the technical committee, along with other eminent players, will also attend the meeting.

The key agenda of the meeting is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the national team's defeat against Sri Lanka in a crucial Asia Cup match. Subsequently, crucial decisions will be made based on the insights and findings derived from the meeting, with the aim of revitalizing Pakistan's cricketing performance.
