Robbers have begun to terrorise the city of Lahore, with even the judges' colonies now becoming insecure. An attempted robbery by armed dacoits at the house of the late Lahore High Court (LHC) judge Justice Sharif Hussain Bokhari in the Judicial Colony was thwarted.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, both serving and retired judges reside in the Judicial Colony, making this security breach particularly alarming.
The incident occurred around 9 PM on Sunday when armed robbers entered the premises. The family noticed the unknown individuals entering the house through the CCTV camera and immediately raised an alarm.
The armed dacoits remained in the garage and corridor of the house for about half an hour but failed to enter the main living areas. Despite attempting to reach the family through the kitchen door, the dacoits were unsuccessful.
In a bold move, one of the dacoits jumped over the wall, opened the gate from inside, and allowed an accomplice to enter. However, the dacoits eventually fled when the family created a commotion.
The police arrived promptly, cleared the entire house, and began an investigation using the CCTV footage.
