Attempt to smuggle Ice drug in sweets box foiled

Authorities at the Islamabad International Airport on Saturday foiled a bid to smuggle abroad one and half kilogram of Ice drug hidden in a box of sweets, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) officials said that passenger Muhammad Ismael was leaving for Bahrain via Abu Dhabi when he was arrested at the Islamabad Airport and 1.5kg Ice drug was recovered from his sweets box.
He was about to leave for Bahrain on PK-234 flight when the ANF personnel intercepted him and checked his luggage.
The ANF has launched further investigation into the matter.
