Kakar assures strict action against those invloved in targetting minorities in Jaranwala

Strongly condemning the vandalism of Churches and Christian homes in the Jaranwala Tehsil of Faisalabad, the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar has affirmed to take stern action against those responsible for the disgraceful act, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Taking the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar said, “I am gutted by the visuals coming out of Jaranwala, Faisalabad. “Stern action would be taken against those who violate the law and target minorities. All law enforcement has been asked to apprehend culprits & bring them to justice,” he hinted.

“Rest assured that the government of Pakistan stands with our citizens on an equal basis,” he added.
Earlier in the day, a distressing incident of alleged blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and desecration of pages of the Holy Quran pages attributed to a Christian man Raja Masih triggered a wave of violence and attacks on churches and homes in Jaranwala.
Meanwhile, former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the desecration of the church in Jaranwala and the burning of Christian houses.
He said strict action should be taken against the violators.
Neither Islam nor the constitution and law allow such actions against minorities, he said, adding that this incident is condemnable, sad, and regrettable for the entire nation.
He urged the government to act against the culprits. He asked the Punjab government to restore the burnt churches and houses of minorities.
Likewise, Former President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the Jaranwala incident and asked the government to investigate the disgraceful act on merit.
He said our religion Islam teaches us respect for others' worship places.
“Those who are involved in vandalism, anarchy, and disorder should be dealt with strictly and discouraged,” Asif Ali Zardari added.
Similarly, Pakistan Muslim League (N) spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb strongly condemned the desecration of the church in Jaranwala, and the burning of Christian houses, and demanded strict legal action against those involved.
This incident is regrettable, condemnable, and regrettable for the entire nation, she said.
The Punjab government took immediate notice of the incident and brought the perpetrators to justice, she continued.
She added that the local population should be protected, and the burned churches and houses should be restored.
The Christian community played an important role in the establishment of Pakistan and the defense of Pakistan, the white color in the national flag represents the minorities, she hinted.
These incidents lead to national regret and shame, tarnishing Pakistan's image globally, she said, adding that if any right of a citizen or any law is violated, it is necessary to take the path of law.
