The opposition leader in the national assembly Omar Ayub Khan has said there is no deal behind the release of Bushra Bibi and PTI founder Imran Khan's sisters, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a media address at Haripur Press Club on Sunday, he praised Bushra Begum’s resilience and said Bushra Begum bravely spent nine months in jail during which she allegedly endured mistreatment including reported poisoning.

He said PTI founder Imran Khan was facing a lack of access to electricity and water, and being served substandard meals in the jail.

Omar Ayub Khan asserted that these harsh conditions reflect the challenges faced by PTI’s founder, who he stated is enduring these adversities as he stood for national integrity and constitutional principles.

He condemned what he described as an unjust wave of false charges being imposed upon PTI leaders and other opposition figures.

Mentioning former PM Imran Khan, Khan noted that he has been serving jail time for over a year and a half, remarking on his dedication in contrast to other leaders, including Nawaz Sharif, who have allegedly benefited from leniency or sought asylum abroad.

Khan further leveled strong criticism at the judiciary, calling the former Chief Justice "arrogant" and accusing him of biased rulings that he claims ran contrary to the law.

Labeling the previous tenure as one of the darkest periods in judicial history, Khan alleged that the former Chief Justice left the country immediately after retirement.

However, he expressed optimism regarding the current Chief Justice, describing him as a constitutional expert who he believes will uphold justice according to the law.

“We had an alliance with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and will continue to do so,” he said adding that the opposition parties will start a movement against the government very soon.

He asserted that the recent constitutional amendments were passed without proper legal process.
