PIMS Hospital nurses protest against non-payment of salaries

Nurses of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) of Islamabad staged a protest demonstration outside the hospital on Wednesday against non-payment of their salaries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PIMS Hospital Executive Director held talks with the nurses at their protest site, assuring them that two months’ salaries will be paid to them immediately.
The ED said on the occasion that PIMS needed at least 1,600 nurses for the hospital this time and he wants all nurses to join the hospital on regular basis and they will be given priority in upcoming interviews.
He requested the nurses to end their protest and start working because patients coming to PIMS are facing problems in their absence.
He told the protesters that PIMS officials are negotiating for you in the Health Ministry.
