The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is actively pursuing a viable formula for government formation in the capital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a significant move towards this goal, a high-profile consultation meeting convened in Lahore on Friday, under the leadership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, attended by key figures including Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.
The crux of the gathering centered on delineating a power-sharing arrangement between the PML-N and the Pakistan People's Party (PPP), the two prominent entities within the current hung parliament.
Despite multiple deliberations, the negotiation committees representing both parties have yet to solidify any conclusive terms.
The negotiation committees constituted by both parties have not reached any conclusion yet, and the PML-N committee briefed the party heads about the meetings held with the PPP committee so far.
The meeting also discussed the demands of the PPP from the expected federal government and Punjab, where the PML-N has a majority.
Among the attendees were key figures such as former federal ministers Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Ahsan Iqbal.
