Policemen’s duration of posting reduced in Punjab

Punjab Police’s standing orders for Junior Rank employees have been amended, reported 24News HD TV channel on Friday.
According to the report, amended standing orders of the Punjab Police reduced the duration of posting of any junior rank policemen at his unit.
As per the amendment, any Head Constable and Constable will be posted for only one and half year while the Sub Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) will be posted for only one year at the unit.
In the Punjab Police Standing Order, the age limit for the list B1 and intermediate class courses has also been relaxed up to 45 years and 55 years respectively.
Under these amendments in the standing orders, candidates will now be able to take intermediate class exams after two years of the lower class course.
Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr Usman Anwar issued a notification in this regard.
