Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan postponed the scheduled rally of Muredke on May 18 to show their peacekeeping measures in politics.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, this was announced by PTI Sheikhupura District President Umar Aftab Dhillo in a video message at the behest of his party chairman on Wednesday.
In the video message to PTI workers, Umar Aftab said that as the party's district president, he submitted an application to the Commissioner for approval of the rally but did not get any reply from the government.
Umar Aftab said he also approached Lahore High Court to get permission for the rally and hopefully, the court will allow them to hold it tomorrow.
But, he added that Imran Khan had made a decision to postpone the rally as the PTI is a political party with a belief in peace.
