Interior Minister expresses grief over the loss of human lives in boat tragedy

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed grief over the loss of precious human lives due to the overturning of a boat in the Jhelum River at Nurpur Miran near Mandi Bahauddin.

In his condolence message on Thursday, the minister expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of four children and two women of the same family in the tragic incident,” he said.

Two women and four children died when a boat sank in the Jhelum River near Pind Dadan Khan.

There were more than 30 people on the boat and it was also loaded with a carry van, motorcycles and other goods.

The boat was in a dilapidated condition and was going to Nurpur Patan Malikwal from Sugharpur Patan.

The local people started the relief operations on their own.
