The Pakistan Airport Authority is actively working to repurpose decommissioned aircraft for training purposes.

A second non-functional MD-83 aircraft is set to be transferred from Jinnah International Airport to Hyderabad late Monday night, 24NewsHD TV reported.

Project Director Muneer Alam confirmed that the required NOC for the transfer has been obtained.

He said the 60-ton aircraft will be moved in two parts using a German-technology trailer via National Highway routes, including Gharo and Thatta.

He said this will be the second aircraft transferred to the Katayi Training Institute in Hyderabad, following the recent relocation of another plane via the Super Highway.
