Sialkot murder case: Mother in law admits she killed Zara over jealousy and hatred

Police have claimed key development in investigation of Sialkot daughter in law murder case as victim’s mother in law Sughran Bibi has admitted that she was involved in the murder of her daughter in law Zara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The police said accused Sughran confessed that she killed Zara out of jealousy and hatred, and she also made false allegations on her character. According to police, Sughran said, “I have committed a mistake, it is all my fault, my daughter, granddaughter and relatives are in trouble because of me”.
Meanwhile, duty magistrate has handed over accused Naveed to the police on one-day physical remand. According to police officials, 4 accused have been arrested in the case so far. Sughran, her daughter Saba, Qasim, Abdullah and Naveed will appear before the court again on Monday. Police have arrested victims’ mother in law Sughran on allegations of killing her daughter-in-law and dismembering her body for allegedly practising 'witchcraft'.
In her earlier to police, statement Sugran alleged that her daughter-in-law Zara used to practice 'witchcraft' on her family, which she said, was suffering ever since she had got married to her son. According to the police, more provisions have been added in the FIR of the kidnapping of the deceased Zara and other provisions have been added in the case of kidnapping with intent to murder.
It should be noted that Zara, the daughter of Police ASI Shabbir Ahmed, a resident of Gujranwala, was married to Qadir's cousin 4 years ago. Qadir, who lives in Saudi Arabia, took Zara with him, but Zara used to come and go to Pakistan and two and a half years ago. Zara's son Shafi was born.
Meanwhile, the District Police Officer (DPO) Sialkot said that the female suspect had called her paternal cousin, Naveed, from Lahore for assistance in killing the daughter-in-law. The police registered a first information report against the suspects on the complaint of Shabbir Ahmed, the father of the victim. Meanwhile, the police have seized a digital video recorder (DVR) as part of their efforts to unravel the events surrounding the incident. In the CCTV footage, it was confirmed that the victim had not left the house on the day of the incident.
The police also obtained CCTV footage from the market, in which the woman and another suspect Naveed can be seen buying knives. All CCTV footage will be sent to the forensic lab for a photogrammetric test.
