The Lahore High Court (LHC) has reserved the decision on the plea of Moonis Elahi's wife Tehrim Elahi to get her name removed from the exit control list (ECL), the 24NewsHD TV reported on Thursday.

Deputy Attorney General Asad Bajwa told the court of Justice Raheel Kamran Sheikh that her name has been placed on the list at the request of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)

The counsel for the petitioner, Amjad Pervez, produced a copy of the amended rules regarding the inclusion of names in the ECL and argued that the applicant's name cannot be included in the list under these rules.

“Even if the name is put on the ECL, it cannot be kept for more than 90 days,” he stressed, making a request to the court for issuing orders to remove his client’s name from ECL.

After hearing the arguments on both sides, the court reserved the verdict.
