Pensions may delay as NBP suspends accounts for biometric verification

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has temporarily suspended the accounts of thousands of pensioners and retired employees in order to conduct biometric verification, which will probably cause a delay in the payment of their dues, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The decision was taken to restore and verify accounts again.
The NBP has also directed the pension account holders to conduct their fresh biometric and also bring their life certificate and no marriage certificate for the restoration of their accounts.
The accounts will be restored after verification of these documents.
