More proofs of the use of foreign-made weapons in incidents of terrorism in Pakistan have been found, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Pakistan Army has been pitted against the militants belonging to the defunct Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) for the last two decades.

It is no secret that the TTP militants not only have hideouts inside Afghanistan but the weapons, which the US forces left behind before leaving Afghanistan are also available to them.

This has destabilized regional security, particularly the security situation in Pakistan where rise in incidents of terrorism has been witnessed in recent months.

These were the same weapons, which the militants of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had used in their attacks on the FC camps in Noshki and Panjgur districts of Balochistan in February 2022.

Similarly, TTP militants had used made in the USA weapons in their assault on Zhob Garrison on July 12, 2023.

Likewise, TTP militants, equipped with the latest US weapons, had attacked two army checkposts in Chitral on September 6, 2023.

Moreover, M-4, AK-74, RPG-7 recovered from the militants, who had attacked the Pakistan Airforce (PAF) airbase in Mianwali on November 4, 2023, were all foreign-made.

The militants had used Night Vision Goggles and American Rifles in their attack at Daraban area of Dera Ismail Khan on December 12, 2023.

The USA weapons were also used in an attack by militants a day before yesterday (Friday, December 15, 2023) at Tank.

Three police personnel had been martyred while five militants had laid down their lives in the incident.

Similarly, the personnel of Pakistan Customs and security forces, on December 13, 2023, had recovered the latest US-made M-4, American Rifles and grenades from underneath sacks of onions loaded on a truck, heading from Afghanistan to Pakistan.

The smuggling of the latest US-made weapons from Afghanistan to Pakistan and its use by the TTP militants against Pakistan forces is a question mark over the claims made by the Taliban government in Afghanistan that the Afghan soil was not being used against Pakistan.

Confirming claims made by the government of Pakistan, EurAsian Times, a publication, has confirmed the claims made by the government of Pakistan that the TTP is using foreign-made weapons in its attacks on the Pakistani forces.

Pentagon, on the other hand, has said that out of 427,300 weapons, the USA had provided to the Afghan forces during the war on terror, 300, 000 were left behind.

That’s marked surge in incidents of terrorism has been noticed in the last two years.

Earlier, Pakistan had urged a UN panel to find out how the TTP was acquiring modern weaponry to carry out terrorist attacks in the country.

Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative Usman Jadoon highlighted the alarming trend during a UN Security Council open debate.

He argued that terrorist groups like TTP acquired such weapons “from illicit arms markets or receive them from entities that want to destabilize a particular region or country.”
