LHC also disallows Imran Khan, Qureshi, Elahi, Hammad from contesting election

The Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected the petitions against the rejection of the nomination papers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, and leader Hammad Azhar upholding the decision of the Returning Officers (ROs).
According to the 24News HD TV channel, a three-member bench of the LHC headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi pronounced the reserved decisions on the petitions against the ROs' rejection of the nomination papers of the PTI top leaders.
The three-member bench of the LHC was comprised of Justice Ali Baqir Najfi, Justice Shahid Karim and Justice Jawad Hassan.
The court dismissed petitions of Imran Khan against the rejection of his nomination papers from NA-122 Lahore and NA-89 Mianwali.
The Returning Officer of the constituency NA-122 Lahore had rejected the nomination papers of Imran Khan as his proposer and seconder were not a voter of the said constituency.
The rating officer of the constituency NA-89 Mianwali had rejected the nomination papers due to the conviction of PTI founder Imran Khan.
The court bench also dismissed the petition against the rejection of the nomination papers of PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi from Multan and upheld the decision of the RO.
PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi also approached the LHC against the rejection of his nomination papers from constituencies of Gujarat and Mandi Bahauddin but the court upholded the decision of the ROs.
The bench also pronounced the reserved decision on Hammad Azhar's petition against the rejection of papers from constituency NA-120 Lahore and upheld the decision of the returning officer.
The LHC also dismissed the petition against the rejection of Ammar Yasir's nomination papers. The court upheld the decision of the Returning Officer to reject the nomination papers of Ammar Yasir.
