Good news for the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cabin crews who have been retired at the end of their contract period as PIA management has reinstated members of 55 cabin crews for six months, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The TV channel said that PIA has reinstated cabin crews by extending their contracts for six months.

The TV channel also reported that the PIA sent flight crews on a three-month unpaid leave and this decision has been taken due to the limited PIA air operations keeping in view the coronavirus pandemic.

“The decision to send flight crews on leave was taken under an agreement between the PIA administration and the Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA).”

The agreement was signed by PIA Chief Human Resource Air Commodore Amir Altaf and CBA President Hidayatullah Khan.
