Over 27,000 govt servants vote in first phase of AJK polls

Over 27,000 government servants in 33 constituencies of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), who have to perform duties during elections for the state assembly on July 25th, cast their votes in the first phase of elections on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Around 5, 14 presiding officers, 7336 polling officers and 14, 672 polling assistants cast their votes.
The AJK election commission has declared returning officers’ (ROs) offices as polling stations.
The police personnel, who have to provide security during polling on July 25th, will be able to receive postal ballot papers as per the list provided by the SSP.
The votes cast today will be counted together with the ones that will be cast on the elections day.
