Destructions caused by the flood continue in Arifwala and Burewala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to rescue sources, standing crops over thousands of acres of land were damaged and dozens of villages were flooded in Arifwala due to the inflow of a 83,000 cusecs water current into the Sutlej River.

The rescue teams shifted the locals to flood relief camps.

Moreover, the flood situation worsened in southern Punjab. An embankment at Basti Ghulam Ali of Mauza Jodika in Burewala breached, leaving several settlements submerged.

The land connection between these settlements was also cut off. Besides, crops over hundreds of acres of land were inundated.

The rescue teams were busy carrying out a rescue and relief operation.

Basti Falak Sher, Basti Mazhar Jadhiana and others were severely affected by the breach of the embankment.
