Sanam Javed is free to travel to her province, AGP informs IHC

Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan on Thursday informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that PTI leader Sanam Javed will not be arrested again in connection with any case and she is free to go to her province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

After AGP’s statement, the IHC disposed of the acquitall plea declaring Sanam Javed’s arrest by the Islamabad police as illegal.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, in the meanwhile, addressed Sanam Javed’s lawyer saying: “I have seen on internet that Sanam Javed very foul language. Will you make sure she would not do that again?”

The lawyer quickly responded Sanam will not use inappropriate words again.

The AGP also informed that court that Balochistan police now were not pressing for the transit remand of Sanam Javed and she is free to travel to her province.

Talking to the media men outside the IHC, Sanam Javed’s lawyer Advocate Mian Ashfaq Ali said they had a meeting the attorney general who assured them that Sanam Javed will not be arrested in any case. The AGP also told them that the FIR registered in Balochistan will also be withdrawn, he added.Mian Ashfaq said all cases registered in Islamabad and Quetta with be taken back within two days

 

Umar Dar, Qayyum Niazi meet Sanam

Earlier, PTI senior leader Umar Dar and former Azad Kashmir prime minister Sardar Qayyum Niazi held separate meetings with Sanam Javed at KP House in Islamabad on Thursday.

On this occasion, Ishaq Dar said women like Sanam Javed are the assets of the party. “You, Aliya Hamza, Yasmin Rashid stood firm in face of the tyranny and fascism. Every PTI worker is proud of you.”
