Inter-district dacoit gang posing as police busted in Pakpattan

Police in Pakpattan have arrested four members of an inter-district gang of dacoits who would rob people of their valuables by posing as policemen, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Sources told 24News that the police had also recovered stolen items worth Rs740 million as well as sophisticated weapons from those arrested.
On the other hand, SHO Saddar police station Rai Khizar Hayat has said that the dacoits, members of Iftikhar alias Khari gang, had also shot and injured a private TV channel reporter when he resisted their robbery bid.
The SHO has further said that the dacoits were identified with the help of footage obtained from CCTV cameras while they were committing robbery at a ghee manufacturing unit sometime back.
