Police in Lahore have arrested National Women Football Team goalkeeper Shumaila Sattar for her involvement in attack on the Jinnah House, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Sources told 24News that police managed to trace Shumaila with the help of geo fencing and arrested her from her home, while further investigation was underway with the help of footages obtained from cellphones as well the cameras installed outside the Jinnah House.

They further told the channel that Shumaila had been sent to jail on judicial remand where she would be paraded for identification.

Thousands of people took to streets on May 9 and May 10 in different cities of the country following the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Islamabad.

They vandalized government and military properties and even set these on fire to vent their anger at the authorities for arresting their leader in such a rude manner.
