Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has been summoned again by the regional directorate of the anti-corruption establishment (ACE) DG Khan on June 19 in a land case, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Former prime minister Imran Khan’s sister Dr. Uzma Khan and his brother-in-law Ahad Majeed Niazi have also been called by the ACE Dera Ghazi Khan to appear.
According to an ACE spokesperson, the department has pasted the summon notice on the main gate of Imran Khan’s residence at Zaman Park Lahore.
Anti-corruption has clear evidence of the former prime minister's involvement in the land scandal, the spokesperson said, adding that Bani Gala exerted pressure on the revenue officers for the illegal transfer of land.
Dr. Uzma and her husband, Ahad Majeed Niazi, have been booked for allegedly buying 5,261 kanal land in the Nawan Kot area of tehsil Chaubara in Layyah district at cheaper rates through fraud and political pressure.
According to the FIR, Dr. Uzma and her husband had bought the land at a cost of Rs130 million, while its actual price was Rs6 billion. The land was located near the site of the Greater Thal Canal project
The PTI chairman is co-accused for allegedly helping his sister by using his office as the prime minister.
