Pakistan has shifted all the white-ball matches against the visiting Australian cricket team to Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The decision was announced by Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad at a news conference in Islamabad on Friday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sought the shifting of the matches from Rawalpindi to Lahore as the political scene in the country is heating up due to the no-confidence motion tabled by the Opposition parties against Prime Minister Khan.

The PCB had been consulting on rescheduling the white-ball series with Australia at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore from Pindi Cricket Stadium due to 'political situation' in Islamabad.

Both the government and opposition had announced power show rallies featuring largescale public gathering in the capital on March 25 and March 27. Both teams have to play three ODIs and a T20I.

White-ball matches schedule

ODI series

ODI number 1, March 29: Pakistan v Australia, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

ODI number 2, March 31: Pakistan v Australia, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

ODI number 3, April 2: Pakistan v Australia, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

Though it was not yet clear whether there was also in change in the dates after the shifting of the matches to Lahore.
