Govt tries to hide stats as dengue situation worsens

As the dengue cases situation worsens in the country, it has come to light that the government is trying to undermine the situation by hiding the statistics, reported 24NewsHD TV on Monday.
According to the sources, the primary health department of the Punjab government is not uploading the thousands of confirmed cases being carried out in private laboratories in Lahore on its dashboard.
According to District Health Officer (DHO), six people have died of dengue in Islamabad so far. Around 141 people in Islamabad have fallen prey to dengue fever during the last 24 hours. 6 people have due to the dengue outbreak in the city, so far
According to the Department of Primary and Secondary Healthcare, 279 cases were reported in the Punjab province during the past 24 hours. Out of which 204 cases were detected in Lahore. Rawalpindi reported 36 cases. 21 people have succumbed to the disease in the Punjab province so far.
Similarly, dengue patients from other cities in the Punjab province included Jehlum, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Mianwali, Muzzafargarh, Kasur, Okara and Sargodha were also reported.
In Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, 107 people contracted dengue during the past 24 hours. The total number of dengue patients has reached 3,938 in the province. According to the KPK health department, five people have succumbed to the disease in the province, so far.
