CM reiterates resolve to ensure better public service delivery

 Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated the resolve to ensure better public service delivery and provide inflation-hit people with relief, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

Talking to the media, he said for the first time in the history of Punjab, a provincial cabinet meeting was held in Faisalabad.

A 48-hour deadline was set to bring down transport fares after the reduction in the prices of petroleum products, he said, adding that diesel bus fares are going down by 10 per cent and petrol bus by 15 per cent and negotiations with transporters have been successful.

Moreover, he said the flour rate will also go down in days to come and flour mills assured the government of decreasing the flour rate by Rs15

He said chicken prices will also go down significantly, he said, stressing that the prices of pulses have been reduced from Rs 20 to Rs 30.

The chief minister said price review meetings will be held on a daily basis and he assured the journalists of their welfare plan.

The cabinet was briefed on the ongoing projects. He said he would protect the rights of all and he would do his duty without discrimination.

The chief minister yesterday visited the provincial capital’s main bus station, Lorry Adda, and interacted with the passengers and inquired about the cut in fares following the reduction in the oil price.
