Mitho Dacoit killed during police encounter in Rahim Yar Khan

One notorious dacoit, Asif alias Mitho Chandia, was killed during a police encounter in Mouzah Kharkay, district Rahim Yar Khan, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
A Punjab police spokesman said that after receiving information that a dacoity incident took place in Mouzah Kharkay. A police team was reached at the crime scene. 
After noticing the police team, dacoits started firing on the police team. 
Police team start chasing the fleeing dacoits. During severe firing between the police team and the dacoits, one dacoit was killed while his other companions fled away, successfully taking advantage of darkness.
Mitho Chandia was involved in different heinous crimes including robbery, theft, dacoity, and attacks on police teams. 
Police records further showed that he was wanted by Punjab police for his involvement in dozens of crimes.
Police recovered a motorcycle which they snatched from a citizen, currency, Kalashnikov ammunition and another motorcycle which the dacoits used for committing crimes.
The police team also shifted the dead body of Dacoit to a local hospital for postmortem.
Police teams raided different suspicious locations to arrest dacoits who fled way.
Inspector-General of Police Punjab (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar, lauded the performance of Punjab police to thwart an attempt at robbery.
