Federal capital to have solar water installations

The federal government has decided to replace water installations in Islamabad with modern solar systems, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

The PC has been prepared and will be submitted for approval soon.  Under the project, various solar plants ranging from one megawatt to four and a half megawatts will be installed at different stations in the city.

This will not only save energy but also significantly reduce costs. Similarly, old motors used in water installations that use a lot of electricity will be transferred to modern technology.

Tenders in this regard will be published in newspapers soon as soon as the project got approved.

Similarly, generators have also been put on standby at various water installations to ensure an uninterrupted supply of water even during summer loadshedding.

The streetlight department has decided to replace the existing lights with modern sodium LED lights and solar plants.
