Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphasized that the best hospitals in Pakistan are located in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He made these remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Cyber Knife Unit at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in Karachi on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilawal highlighted the significance of three key hospitals in Sindh—JPMC, the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), and the National Institute of Child Health (NICH)—asserting that they represent the zenith of the healthcare delivery system in Pakistan.

He lamented that Sindh’s governance is often portrayed negatively.

“These hospitals are examples of good governance and exemplary public-private partnerships and our work speaks louder than words.

The PPP Chairman also took pride in the achievements of Sindh’s healthcare sector, citing the establishment of the world’s best cardiac hospital in Karachi and the provision of free healthcare services to children through NICH.

PPP chairman also highlighted the significant contributions of Sindh’s business community, which plays a leading role in charity work across the country.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the newly installed third Cyber Knife machine in Karachi will provide free cancer treatment—a service he claimed is unparalleled globally.

He pointed out that a single treatment using the Cyber Knife technology costs $10,00, yet it is being offered free of charge in Karachi.

He further revealed that JPMC’s cancer treatment department is ranked among the top ten in the world, attracting patients from 167 cities across Pakistan and 15 other countries.

Bilawal Bhutto instructed the Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah to arrange a visit for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to JPMC, so he could witness the achievements of the Sindh government in the healthcare sector firsthand.

We will request them that we are ready to build such hospitals in Punjab province while we are trying ourselves in Balochistan, he said, adding that We want to build such hospitals in Lahore and people get free treatment there.
