Rescue personnel say fatigued passenger coach driver was the cause of the deadly accident on M-5

A tragic accident occurred on the Sukkur-Multan Motorway (M-5) near Ghotki, where a passenger coach travelling from Punjab to Karachi collided with a trailer.
The collision resulted in the deaths of eight people, including two women and four children, while eight others sustained injuries, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
According to the motorway police, the accident happened at location 470 on the M-5 motorway due to the driver falling asleep at the wheel.
Rescue operations were immediately initiated, with heavy contingents of Rangers and police arriving at the scene.
Despite the prompt response, heavy rain has made rescue efforts challenging.
Motorway Police confirmed that the bodies of the deceased and the injured have been shifted to Ghotki Hospital.
Mohsin Naqvi expresses deep grief
Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in a collision between a trailer and a coach near Ghotki on M-5. He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.
Interior Minister prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the accident. He said that we share the grief of the bereaved families and our sympathies are with them. He prayed that May Allah Almighty grant patience and strength to the families of the deceased.
