Pakistan High Commission (PHC) in New Delhi has confirmed that India released a young Pakistani national prisoner Farhan Khan.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the released Pakistani citizen reached Pakistan via Attari-Wagah Border on Thursday.
The channel report said Farhan Khan was handed over to Pakistani authorities at the Attari border in Wagah.
Farhan Khan's release was made possible with the coordinated support of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of India.
Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi released a statement on Twitter about the repatriation of Farhan Khan and said they will continue their efforts for early repatriation of those Pakistani prisoners who have completed their sentences in Indian jails.
