Court adjourns hearing in money laundering case against Parvez Elahi till Feb 14

A court in Lahore adjourned the hearing of a case related to money laundering and suspicious banking transactions against former Punjab chief minister Parvez Ealhi till February 14 and ordered Parvez Elahi to be produced in the next hearing, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.
Special Central Court Judge Tanveer Ahmed Shaikh conducted the hearing of the case on Thursday.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has filed a money laundering challan against former Chief Minister of Punjab Parvez Elahi and others in thea special central court.
Parvez Elahi's lawyer Asif Cheema Advocate appeared before the court on his behalf, as the former CM could not attend due to fog.
The FIA report stated that the accused are involved in money laundering and suspicious bank transactions worth millions of rupees.
The FIA is also pursuing the process of declaring Parvez Elahi's son Mons Elahi and another co-accused Jibran Khan as absconders.
