Tamannaah Bhatia faces Interrogation in HPZ token money laundering case

Popular Bollywood star Tamannaah Bhatia has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of India in Guwahati for interrogation in a money laundering case, allegedly for her links with a fraudulent digital platform named ‘HPZ Token’.

This case, which allegedly duped several investors on the pretext of mining Bitcoins and some other cryptocurrencies, is a significant development. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet in March 2024, accusing a total of 299 entities in a money laundering case, highlighting the widespread impact of this cybercrime operation.

The Stree 2 actress allegedly received payment for making a special 'celebrity appearance' at an event related to the HPZ Token app. The case is being investigated for money laundering activities. The report states that no 'incriminating' charges have been brought against her.
