A one-eyed baby was born in the city of Radaa in Yemen's Al Bayda province, as this is a rare event of its kind globally, but he died seven hours later.
As per report, the baby, who was born at Al-Hilal Al-Tabi Hospital in Radaa city, had an eye socket and a single optical nerve.
The news of the birth of a one-eyed child caused a sensation in the city and the speculations went on to spread across the city. As, some of the people started calling this child an antichrist, many citizens called him a sign of doomsday.
Yemeni journalist Karim Zarai, who posted the child’s photos, went on to say “This is a very rare case that was known in Greek mythology”.
According to the media reports, the world saw just six such cases in some five centuries. Zarai said that the first birth of this nature was registered in 1665.
