NAB closes investigation against Capt Safdar

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Executive Board Wednesday approved closing the investigation against Capt (R) Safdar Awan on the basis of lack of evidence, reported 24News HD TV channel.
A meeting of the Executive Board Meeting (EBM) of NAB held at NAB Headquarter, Islamabad. The meeting was presided over by NAB Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal.
The board also approved filing three corruption references and authorized to conduct nine inquiries against different persons including KPK Board of Revenue senior member Ehsan Ullah Mehsood, former district nazim Maqbool Ahmed Lehri and Quetta Metropolitan Corporation former mayor Dr Kaleem Ullah.
It also approved to file corruption reference against former Excise and Taxation Minister Mir Muhammad Amin Imrani. The meeting also approved to initiate inquiries against PML-N KPK chapter president Amir Muqam.
The NAB Executive Board also approved of closing the investigation against Capt. (R) Safdar Awan on the basis of lack of evidence. It approved closing inquiries against former IG Dr Mujeeb ur Rehman and former Petroleum Minister Aman Ullah Khan.
