PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi has expressed gratitude to his party leadership and workers for showing solidarity with him during his 11-year 'illegal' detention in the ephedrine case.
Addressing the party workers in Rawalpindi, he said the acquittal by Lahore High Court is the victory of truth.
He said as he was facing a fake trial, some senior party members went to Nawaz Sharif to convince him to issue a show cause notice.
However, the former prime minister made them realize that the case was fabricated.
“Today Shahbaz Sharif proved to be an elder brother. He called me home and accorded me a rosy welcome and exchanged greetings, ”Abbasi said.
“Everyone loved me selflessly. I am honoured, “ he said as he expressed gratitude to his supporters.
He said on October 21, Nawaz Sharif will receive an unprecedented welcome.
“The lions of Rawalpindi’s have always supported me. We will not take revenge on anyone.
"But no one will be allowed to hinder the development of Rawalpindi.
"Nawaz Sharif will be made the prime minister for the fourth time
On his arrival in Rawalpindi, Hanif Abbasi was welcomed by the local leaders and workers.
