Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar emphasized Wednesday that broad consultations on constitutional amendments are underway, involving all political parties in Parliament, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He noted that efforts are being made to reach a consensus on the amendments.
Tarar praised the role of Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar in drafting the amendments and highlighted that, in many countries, Supreme Courts and Constitutional Courts operate separately.
He explained that the goal of the amendments is to streamline justice for ordinary citizens, allowing their cases to be resolved more swiftly.
He said consultations with key leaders, including Maulana Fazlur Rehman, are part of the process to build consensus on the amendments.
Tarar rejected PTI's politicization of the draft, stating that the amendments aim to simplify the justice system, and assured that no one would receive preferential treatment under the law.
