IHC overturns ECP's decision on election tribunal

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision to change the election tribunal for three constituencies in Islamabad as null and void.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Chief Justice of IHC Justice Aamer Farooq pronounced the reserved judgement on Thursday.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq nullified the ECP's order to replace Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri with retired Judge Shakoor Paracha as the election tribunal judge.
The IHC has sent the matter back to the Election Commission for further consideration and reinforced the current tribunal structure until further notice.
