The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has broken all previous records of taxation which became evident when the traders of Multan found out that several taxes were included in the inflated electricity bills they were being made to pay, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Much to the shock of traders, they found out that they had to pay Rs3, 600 in different taxes if they receive a bill totalling Rs7, 200; which constitutes half of the total amount of the bill.

Talking to 24News, they said that so perturbed they were over this ‘indirect taxation that now they even did not want to use electricity.

They said that inflation had made their lives miserable.

The traders appealed to the government to reduce the amount of taxes on gas and electricity in order to provide them with some relief.
