The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) could not decide the design of the ballot paper for the Senate election on Monday and decided to hold another consultative meeting on the issue on Tuesday in line with the instructions of the Supreme Court on the issue.

The ECP will decide on Tuesday if the ballot paper will be identifiable or not. The ECP is considering different options in this regard. The Supreme Court had directed the ECP to hold free and fair Senate election on March 3.

Printing of ballot papers will begin once the ECP finalises the design of the ballot paper. The ECP will print 2,600 ballot papers for the Senate election, which is just hours away and every party is trying to win the support of the maximum number of voters.
