Six CPRs being set up in Karachi to prevent crimes

As many as six Command and Control Rooms are being set up in Karachi to help in preventing crimes and boost the positive image of the police among the masses.
These Community Policing Centers (CPRs) being established across the Karachi division will allow police and community residents to work closely together in new ways to solve the problems of crime, fear of crime, physical and social disorders, and neighbourhood decay.
Four control rooms will be established in District Central, one in Malir, and one in Defense with the support of social and business personalities in the city. The community members also come forward with the police against crime in Karachi. These centres are preparations to crack down on robbers and terrorists rampant in the city.
Reportedly, 75 people have lost their lives in Karachi city while resisting the dacoity bid in a month.
All City Tajir Association's head Khawaja Jamal Sethi said that a twenty-member committee consisting of businessmen and social workers will supervise each centre.
He said that in this way the confidence of the police and the public will be restored, and the police and law enforcement agencies are together in the fight against crime. At the same time, these will act as Alternative Dispute Redressal (ADR) centres, he added.
