Toll tax on all Punjab motorway and highways increased

The Punjab government has announced 30 percent increase in toll tax on all motorways and highways across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Earlier, just three months before 40 percent increase in toll tax were notified during the month of July 2024.

Now vehicles will have to pay Rs1030 instead of Rs890 for travelling through Motorway from Sukkur to Multan.

Vehicles will pay Rs990 instead of Rs770 for journey from Lahore to Multan.

After the recent increase vehicles will pay Rs1480 instead of 1680 for journey through Motorway from Islamabad to Multan.

Now Rs50 instead of Rs40 will be received from cars under the head of Toll Tax for journey from Multan to Lahore.

Transporters appealed to provincial government to immediately withdraw enhancement in Toll Tax.
