The Punjab government, on the orders of Prime Minister Imran Khan, has given a special task to its spokesman Fayyazul Hassan Chohan to reach out to members of the ‘estranged’ Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group in order to address their concerns, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Quoting sources, the channel reported that Chohan had already started holding meetings with members of the JKT group.
In this connection, they said that the provincial government spokesman had so far met with Abdul Hayi Dasti and Sardar Khurrum Laghari.
Sources further said that Chohan would try to convince members of the ‘estranged’ PTI leader group to make themselves bound by the party discipline. They would also be given assurances that issues of their constituencies would be resolved on a priority basis, they explained.
24News has also learnt that Chohan will also meet with other members of the JKT group step by step, and they will later meet him in the form of a group.
