Dolphin snatches love-stricken girl from jaws of death in Lahore

Showing great heroism, something that is usually seen is Lollywood movies, Dolphin Police personnel in Lahore saved the life of a girl who was being taken to River Ravi by her father and his cousin so that they could throw her into the river as a punishment for contracting a love marriage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.  

As per reports, alarmed at both men’s attempt to throw Sania Kanwal, a resident of Samsani area, into the river, a security guard informed the police on 15.   

A team of Dolphin Police, which was patrolling the area at the time, immediately responded and saved the life of the girl.  

Quoting the girl, Dolphin Police said she had told them that her father, who was not pleased with her marriage, wanted to kill her by throwing her into the river.

The Force said that they had taken Sania’s father Barkat Ali and his cousin Muhammad Ameen into custody and shifted them as well as the girl to the Chuhng police station where the incident was being investigated.
