Film-stage actress shot at outside Lahore theatre

A film and stage actress narrowly escaped bullets as she was attacked outside a theatre in Lahore late Monday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Actress Feroza Ali came out of the theatre after giving a performance and was sitting in her car along with her choreographer in S Block of Sabzazar locality when two gunmen riding a motorcycle fired at them and escaped.

The stage actress narrowly escaped the bullets but her choreographer Tauseef Shah was injured when a bullet kissed passed his arms.

The police arrived at the scene and shifted Tauseef Shah to Ganga Ram Hospital for treatment.

The police said they have collected evidence from the crime scene and also obtained CCTV footage in the areas. It would take some time to ascertain the motive behind the gun attack, the police added.

The actress and Tauseef Shah informed the police that they did not know anything about the attackers.
