Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat issued a stern warning on Tuesday, cautioning govt against attempting to obstruct the party's planned rally on August 22, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“Any interference could lead to violence akin to the unrest during the Bangladesh crisis,” he said while talking to the media in Islamabad.
He noted that the five-kanal land allocated for the event would be insufficient to accommodate the anticipated turnout.
"The gathering will stretch from Tarnol towards Sangjani," Marwat announced.
Emphasizing the unique nature of the event, Marwat mentioned, "We won't have a traditional stage at our rally." He confidently declared that under the leadership of Ali Amin, a massive crowd from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to join the rally.
Marwat urged party workers not to travel alone but to move in caravans to ensure safety and solidarity. "When there are hundreds of thousands of people, no one can arrest them," he asserted.
Marwat dismissed concerns about legal actions, saying, "We already have numerous FIRs against us; a few more won't make a difference."
He predicted that the upcoming rally would outshine the recent Swabi rally, both in scale and significance.
