IDB to aid anti-covid combat in Pakistan

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will provide $72.5 million to Pakistan for coronavirus vaccine, 24News HD TV channel reported on Monday.
An agreement has been signed between Pakistan and IDB, and in this connection a meeting between the bank president and a federal minister, Omar Ayub, was held in Islamabad.
The IDB has approved a grant of more than $13billion for aiding Pakistan and it is providing support for energy, industry, resources, health, transport and financial services.
The bank okayed financial aid for the Mohmand dam, the president said, adding that the partnership with the IDB will grow. The IDP head reiterated the resolve to continue backing Pakistan in various fields and thanked the Federal Minister Omar Ayub for the support of the Islamic Development Bank.
