Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Khalil Tahir Sindhu said on Tuesday the opposition alliance in the Punjab Assembly devised its strategy regarding the Punjab governor's directive to the chief minister to take a vote of confidence.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Chief Whip of PML-N Tahir Khalil Sindhu said the opposition alliance is united.
Sindhu said CM Elahi would have to take a vote of confidence in any case, otherwise, he would cease to hold his office. “If the chief minister does not take the vote of confidence then the governor will de-notify him,” he added.
He said that PML-N, PPP, and other coalition members of the Punjab assembly have been called to reach the Punjab Assembly on Dec 21 at 4 pm for the meeting. The meeting called by the governor is in accordance with the constitution and the law. “If this meeting does not take place and the Chief Minister does not take the vote of confidence, then the Governor will de-notify the Chief Minister of Punjab”.
